Naked 100 Tobacco… ?
The header image up there no doubt strikes you as sort of… cryptic. Well, that’s because in all honesty, I have absolutely no idea of what this liquid is properly called.
The retailer I bought it from lists it as, “McCree.” The name on the label is, “American Patriots.” But the only name that seems to match it amongst other reviewers is, “American Cowboy.” So what this liquid is actually called is a matter for some debate.
McCree by Naked 100 Tobacco is a bold and hard hitting tobacco flavor with a full bodied rich tobacco blend with firm, full rounded, and distinct notes that won’t let up.
My review bottle of McCree (aka American Patriots) weighs in at 12mg nicotine strength, with a PG/VG ratio of 35/65 favoring VG. It was tested in the TFV8 “Baby Beast” by SMOK equipped with a 0.4 ohm coil head and run at 60 watts on the SMOK AL85 “Baby Alien”.
As you can see in the above image, the labeling on Naked 100’s clear 60ml glass bottle is extremely minimalist. The label’s center features the company name in red text on a white background — what you might not be able to see from the image is that the PG/VG ratio (35 PG/65 VG in the case of the review bottle in my hand) is just above the red triangle there. The nicotine strength is listed inside the red triangle, in very small, very slightly darker text which is pretty nearly unreadable.
Rotating the bottle clockwise, the right margin of the label has the name of the flavor oriented vertically — and that’s it. Rotating the bottle back the other way, however, you have quite the sense cluster of information. This includes the requisite nicotine warning, ingredients list, batch number, and expiration date.
But as mysterious as the actual name of the liquid, and with the potential cons some users may find in the labeling set aside, the business at hand is the performance of the liquid, and this is where McCree (AKA American Patriots) really stands out.
I like a seriously robust tobacco flavor, and this liquid delivers, but good. The scent telegraphs the flavor perfectly, and that flavor is a very earthy and spicy tobacco that has me thinking of Turkish tobacco profiles I’ve tried before. That spicy note just barely dominates that earthiness and a coumarin sweetness.
Visual vapor output is on par with the better results you’d get from a Baby Beast sub-ohm tank, though the scent carried by the vapor will definitely get you dirty looks from nonsmokers/nonvapers, because it is unmistakably tobacco; however, the scent doesn’t linger.
All told, this liquid delivers everything I expect a good, strong tobacco vape to be.
Price & Availability
McCree is currently available in nic strengths of 0, 3, or 6mg from MyVaporStore at a price of $22.99 (plus shipping) for 60ml. Considering the quality of this vape, getting 60ml for what other brands charge for a 30ml is a damned fine bargain, in my opinion.
Whether you’re a long time vaper who still loves tobacco flavors, or just know a smoker you want to help make the switch as easily as possible, this flavor is one of the best choices out there.
